he Dordogne department is known for its '1001 castles' (though there actually seem to be over 1200). Some of these castles come with their own gardens, as do some 'manor houses', all come with their own stories and histories.

Visit a variety of castles; from the feudal Beynac and the famous Castlenaux on the Dordogne river, renaissance Hautefort, noble Loss and the 'haunted' Puymartin.
